Music Biz member Border City Media announced that it is officially making its BuzzAngle Music charts available. Charts include Top Albums, Top Songs and Top Artists. The new tool can produce charts according to the user’s chosen selections and with daily updates. These “dynamic charts” have more than 250,000 different chart combinations possible for each week in the album and song charts, and more than 400 chart combinations each week in the artist charts.
The charts will reside under the Knowledge tab of musicbiz.org, representing yet another in a series of informational resources that Music Biz is providing its members. This further underscores the Association’s mission to provide actionable data to help members make the most informed business decisions.In addition to the new BuzzAngle Music Charts, Music Biz has developed partnerships that allow us to post the following charts to our site:
On-Demand Songs Chart
In March 2012, Music Biz’s Subscription Services Workgroup, along with Nielsen and Billboard, launched the first-ever subscription services “On-Demand Songs” chart, measuring every on-demand play request and plays from unlimited listener-controlled radio channels. It appears weekly at musicbiz.org, and online as well as in the print edition of Billboard.
Direct-To-Fan Chart
Launched in May 2015 with Border City Media, this chart tracks weekly top D2F albums and monthly top D2F artists and D2F vinyl sales, encapsulating sales for more than 1,500 artists’ e-commerce stores.
